As part of the efforts to tackle immigration offenders, the Department of Immigration and National Registration has carried out two law enforcement operations under 'Operasi Kakas' targeting several locations in the country.

During the operation carried out at rented houses in Mukim Berakas 'B', three foreigners were detained and brought to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation for two violations under the Immigration Act, namely overstaying in the country, and working with a different employee.

Meanwhile, another foreigner was apprehended in another operation at the fruit and vegetable farms in Mukim Liang. The offender was brought to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation for an offence under the Immigration Regulation, namely not working with the original employer.
